School Age Program Coordinator
Lititz Christian School is a family environment where our teachers and staff are valued, cared for and equipped to teach the children in our care. Our growing school age program provides care for children in the Warwick, Manheim Central and Lititz Christian schools. The unique role would give oversite and leadership to all of those programs along with leading the summer camp program, June - August. This potential applicant would be given opportunity to grow in leadership, administratively and further education if so desired.
Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the Director and Assistant Director to give oversite and leadership to all 3 after school sites.
- Work with the ELC administrative team to create, plan and execute the summer camp program.
- Plan and prepare lesson plans for all afterschool sites.
- Communicate with afterschool site leads to assist with site needs and wants to create a successful program.
- Oversee as a "site lead" one of the afterschool sites.
- Build strong, healthy relationships with the school leadership in which the programs are hosted.
- Create and plan activities for non school days in which extended care is offered.
- Oversee the daily needs of the afterschool program with the children and families.
- Assist in creating a strong sense of community among staff and children.
- Attend all required staff trainings and meetings.
- Hours: Monday - Friday. 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Requirements:
- High energy, engaging and team player
- AA Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field or a related field.
- Must successfully pass all background checks including fingerprint and reference checks.
- Ability to interact with children and the school age team, give direction and vision when needed.
- Minimum of 2500 hours of Childcare experience or equivalent education courses completed.
- Engaging, upbeat and warm personality.
- Enjoys working with children.
- Excellent communication, team player qualities
- Working hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
